Modern Dental Smiles of Wellington at 13860 Wellington Trace #14, Wellington, Florida.

I joined Modern Dental last year because they took my insurance. The first time I went I was very very pregnant so they didn't do X-rays. Once I had the baby, came back had my teeth cleaned and X-rays where they found 2 very small cavities one tooth on top and one tooth directly below it. Had them filled in July 2016. A week went by and my teeth were extremely sensitive so I called and was told to give it more time, I called back 2 weeks later and said the same thing. They had me come in, 2 dentists who had nothing to do with my cavities being filled took a look and saw a problem, my bite was off and the bottom one was raised, they smoothed it out. Still didn't feel right but I was told to "give it time" before so I waited. Months went by and I was still noticing a slight irritation and sensitivity.... however I was also dealing with an extremely sick family member at the time so I pushed it aside. I had a cleaning scheduled in December which I had to postpone until my return in January due to that family members passing. I called and canceled my appointment and said I would contact them in January to reschedule my cleaning appointment. Called in January and they are no longer taking my insurance. Ok, I'll find a new dentist... in the mean time I started to notice more sensitivity on the top tooth rather than the bottom. I called Modern in February 2017 and asked if they would see me since it's an ongoing issue. They told me that since I haven't been there in so many months and that they no longer accept my insurance that I would have to pay for an office visit plus whatever treatment needed to be done. Even though I had explained that I was out of town for several months dealing with my family member. They didn't seem to care.
I hung up with them, found a very nice dentist who I had to explain myself to because I asked Modern dental to email my records to the new place so they could see exactly what 2 teeth I was talking about. Got my daughter, packed up, had to go sign a release form, gave them email address, told them my appointment was the next day, get to new dentist, no records, call them, tell them who I am, she knows right away and says I'll send them AGAIN now, then I was hung up on. Records were never sent, my New dentist could see where the fillings were, they told me that my bite on top and bottom were both still very raised.
Modern Dental was the 4th dentist I've seen here in south Florida because sometimes things just don't work out. I have cleanings every 6 months, I floss I brush, I get cavities because I have a little sweet tooth so about once a year they find one (usually only one) fill it and I move on with my life. I've never experienced this issue, I hope nobody has to experience it. I've chewed on the left side of my mouth for almost 8 months because it's a habit now and it still hurts to chew on the right. Modern Dental will drop you like that just because they no longer take your insurance so that tells me that they are about the dollar and not the client. It's sad because it's a very nice clean facility.
Definitely wouldn't recommend them and I'm GLAD I didn't go back and have them "try" to fix this issue anymore.
